Bible quotes

Is the dark more familiar than the daylight?

Sometimes it feels safer to stay in the dark because we’ve been there for so long. It’s all we’ve known, and it’s comfortable.

But maybe you haven’t switched on the light yet – maybe there’s a much brighter and more hopeful world yet to discover in a relationship with God.

This relationship is one full of love and forgiveness and hope and peace, where a better tomorrow is promised, and loneliness is banished for good.

With God, life takes on more colour and meaning. He gives us the chance to run to the arms of a Father who made a way to deal with the sin that has riddled humanity.

With this relationship, old becomes new again, brokenness is healed, and darkness becomes light.

Have you felt God’s call – his gentle, loving invitation? – and will you make the choice to follow him today, and every day?

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, Godʼs special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

  1. “Gentle, loving invitation” ! Perfect, especially true when we are speaking with a spiritually seeking person. We can invite them to join us in church and then allow God’s Holy Spirit to touch their hearts! Thank you for sharing your walk of faith!
